Registration Day!

I went to bed last night at 7:30 and up at 3:30… just absolutely tired from the day of travel. Last night my legs felt heavy and feet .. yup, definitely have pigs feet! We ate at the house after a long food shop and the kitchen is stocked. Just to give you an idea for the $of groceries… $7 for a dozen organic eggs. $7 for ½ gallon organic milk…. But this is the stuff I am used to and if I can get it, I’m going to. I’m all about keeping with the routine. I was excited to see Primo beer at the grocery store and added that to the cart to- this is my dad’s local favorite. I’m hydrating! Had a decent sleep last night even with no A/C. I’m not turning on the air until the race is over. The weather today shows it’s going to feel like 89 for the hottest hours of the day. I need to acclimate.

Schedule today is as follows: swim at 7am for 30 min. Breakfast with Mark Allen Online athletes at 8 and I finally get to meet my main man Luis! He’s been awesome! It will also be great to meet Mark Allen and the other athletes that have been coached by these guys. I feel extremely lucky and fortunate to be here.

After breakfast… REGISTER!!! This is when things are really going to hit me. Getting the athlete wrist band confirms you are in the race and you wear it until you decide to cut it off. Later on I will ride 60-90 min and also get in a short little run. The athlete village opens at 5pm and the parade of nations is also at that time. Mel arrives at 6 and dinner will be here at the house. It’s going to be a packed day and I’m excited!

I will be able to comment on how my body feels after my training today. I’m not sure yet… I’m continuing to work on my mental stuff right now as I know this needs to be sharp.
